Giving, Guilt and Communication

In the last of our series on giving resources to vulnerable communities, Mony explores how giving out of a feeling of guilt can lead to harmful consequences and introduces some ideas on the importance of ethical communication within NGO work.

For those who missed our introduction to Mony last month, Mr Som Chanmony is the Executive Director of Peace Bridges Organisation. Peace Bridges Organisation (PBO) is a Cambodian NGO that focuses on equipping communities with the skills they need to resolve conflict and acknowledge the long-term impacts of generational trauma and relational hurt. Mony (pronounced Mo’Nee) has a real passion for helping people to build relationships that are strong, healthy and empower each other to be transformed and transform communities. He has a deep understanding of the missions and development sectors in Cambodia and is a deeply reflective practitioner
