The Walk Humbly Initiative works in partnership with

  • Interserve Development

Interserve Development sends and supports skilled professionals to work in aid and development projects. They serve with the purpose of contributing to relief for people in need, especially among the peoples of Asia and the Arab world in their home countries and in Australia. Interserve Development is committed to locally-led partnership as a way of transforming communities. As a project of Interserve Development, The Walk Humbly Initiative helps faith-based communities understand good development practices and compliance.

Interserve Development Limited is registered with and accountable to the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC), and complies with OAGDS (Overseas Aid Gift Deduction Scheme) requirements. Interserve Development Limited is a subsidiary of Interserve Australia Limited. Interserve is a child safe organisation.

  • Children in Families (CIF)

Children in Families is a Christian Cambodian-registered local NGO that is focused on keeping children within families and providing alternative care options to Cambodian children outside of family care. While the majority of their work is focused on direct delivery of foster and kinship care, CIF also believes they have a role in helping donors understand the process of reintegration that is happening in Cambodia as the country moves away from institutional models of care for vulnerable children to family based care models.

The Rok Kern project is an education project aimed at teaching donor groups such as schools and churches outside of Cambodia, how to best support local organisations and how they can advocate for family based care.
As the founder of CIF’s Rok Kern project, Stacie was heavily involved in writing their Rok Kern Academy courses. She is able to facilitate in-person workshops, training days, conferences or classroom lessons using these resources.

For a full list of courses, check out www.rokkernacademy.com

10% of the cost of any of these sessions will be donated to CIF so that more children can grow up in loving families, where they belong.

  • CHAT

Stacie has been trained by Scripture Union to both facilitate and to train others to lead the CHAT program.

The CHAT Project is an initiative of Scripture Union to help Australian children, young people and families from all backgrounds make the most of our vibrant diversity, by gaining the skills and confidence to listen, engage and live well with people who are different to them.

Did you know, according to the last census, that nearly half of Australia’s population (49%) were either born overseas or had at least one parent born in another country? Or that more than 1 in every 5 Australians speaks a language other than English at home? In fact there’s more than 300 language groups represented throughout Australia today – each with their own culture and life experiences.

Our modern society struggles with differences, as we naturally live most comfortably with those who look, think and sound like us. In this rapidly changing landscape, it is vital for our young people to know how to listen to, learn from and work with others from different cultures, beliefs and backgrounds to their own.
